I had no idea how I was going to obtain the things that I needed for my new home when I got out of prison and my children were returned to me. The Welcome Home Project was such a blessing!! They provided furniture, beds, dishes, and everything we needed to start fresh. They helped with food, school supplies, and clothes and make sure that my children are ok. for Christmas and their birthdays. How awesome!

It was devastatiing to lose everything in a fire! We had no family and I was unemployed because of COVID. Thankfully, my family was safe but we lost all of our belongings. The Welcome Home Project provided us with new things for our bedroom, kitchen, and entire house! They stayed in touch with us for a long time to make sure that we had emotional care and support until I got back on my feet.

When the Welcome Home Project brought things to my new home, it was like Santa had dropped off his sleigh in my living room. I awakened every day with new hope for my new beginning after a difficult time at the domestic violence shelter. You could feel the love and concern from the volunteers who delivered furniture and everything that I needed. They even came back on the holiday to bring food and filled my freezer.
